Water for Brasil

With Pequeno Cotolengo dom orione - orionópolis

Ensuring safe water for Pequeno Cotolengo

In Brazil, access to safe drinking water remains a challenge for care facilities that support vulnerable populations. Pequeno Cotolengo, a residential community for individuals with physical and mental disabilities, relies on artesian wells and a cistern, but the water requires manual chlorine treatment before use. Without a proper system, residents’ health and nutrition are at risk, and staff must dedicate significant effort to maintaining water quality.

Xylem Watermark is partnering with Pequeno Cotolengo to install an automatic water treatment plant, delivering safe water directly to the kitchen and ensuring reliable access to clean water for residents and staff.

Xylem solution

  • Installation of an automatic water treatment plant with a capacity of 5 m³/h
  • Integration with existing cisterns to provide treated water directly to the kitchen
  • Staff training on operation and maintenance of the system

Beneficiaries: Approximately 284 people, including 94 residents and 190 staff members
