Data Centers
Efficient thermal water management starts here
While they are critical to our modern computing world, data centers have a significant environmental impact, with power and water consumption being a major issue. Data centers use thousands to millions of gallons of water a day to chill key components like cooling towers, chillers, pumps, pipes, heat exchangers, condensers, and computer room air handler (CRAH) units.
For decades, Xylem has made water sustainability its foremost mission, and addressing water usage concerns (WUE) within data centers is no exception.
Xylem’s end-to-end solutions help data center operators maximize their facility water use to:
- Reduce unplanned maintenance and downtime
- Improve operational efficiency and thermal performance
- Achieve environmental and regulatory compliance
- Lower both capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) expenditures
Our integrated, holistic approach ranges from advanced hydronic cooling to water treatment, screening, and filtration, as well as heat exchanging solutions and digital monitoring. Xylem is your reliable solutions provider for every stage of your data center cooling needs.
Case studies
Data Center Reduces Energy Usage and Chemical Dosing
A global hyperscale data center customer was looking to operate their cooling water system without continuous chemical dosing. Evoqua worked closely with the customer‘s engineering team to find the solution that would best fit their needs. Ultimately, a combination of media filtration and ultraviolet (UV) was selected and installed.
