One blower. Two bearing technologies. A smarter approach.

Efficient airfoil bearing technology during operation.
Magnetic bearing technology during critical start-stop cycles.
Reliable performance when your process demands it.

The new Sanitaire AMX series turbo blower brings these technologies together in a purpose-built solution for high-cycle wastewater treatment.

When treatment processes demand more from your blower

Aeration is typically one of the largest energy consumers in a wastewater treatment plant, making blower efficiency and reliability critical to both operational efficiency and treatment performance.

Traditional airfoil bearing blowers perform exceptionally well during continuous operation but can experience increased wear during start-stop cycles. Magnetic bearing systems address this challenge but often introduce additional complexity and higher capital costs.

The Sanitaire AMX series turbo blower takes a different approach.  It combines the efficiency of airfoil bearing technology with magnetic bearing support when it's needed most.

The best of both bearing technologies

Airfoil bearing technology

Provides efficient, oil-free operation during normal blower operation.

Magnetic bearing support

Activates during critical start-stop cycles to help minimize bearing friction and wear.

NSTB+ coating

The bi-directional air-foil bearing features (Nano Silver Triple Treatment Bearing (NSTB+) coating, designed to further support bearing durability.

The result

A turbo blower engineered for reliable, efficient performance in high-cycle wastewater treatment applications.

Designed for high-cycle performance

The new Sanitaire AMX series turbo blower is designed for demanding processes where frequent cycling can challenge conventional air-foil bearing blowers.

Ideal for:

  • Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBRs)
  • Intermittent aeration
  • High-frequency start-stop applications
  • Biological nutrient removal processes
  • Other wastewater treatment processes with demanding blower cycles

Performance that works harder for your plant

  • Reliable high-cycle operation
Magnetic bearing support during start-stop cycles helps minimize bearing wear and support long-term blower reliability.
  • Efficient, oil-free aeration
Direct-drive, oil-free operation provides efficient aeration without the need for lubricating oil.
  • Reduced maintenance
The direct drive technology has no gearbox or mechanical bearings reducing wear and simplifying maintenance and unplanned downtime.
  • Lower operating costs
Efficient blower operation can help reduce energy consumption and the overall cost of aeration. Tested in accordance with asme ptc 13 standards.
  • Built for demanding treatment processes
Designed for wastewater applications where long-term reliable aeration performance is essential to support treatment processes regulatory compliance.
