When the affluent, new home development was being established, odor control was top of mind. The City of Los Angeles has selected Xylem through its sales partner MiscoWATER, to manufacture and install a wastewater treatment system at the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant. The Cronulla Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is one of 30 wastewater treatment and water recycling plants in greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, and the Illawarra. It is owned and operated by Sydney Water, Australia’s largest water utility. The plant is located on the southern end of the Kurnell Peninsula (about 18 km [11 miles] from the city center), and treats about 54 million liters (14 million gallons) of wastewater a day.

The Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) of the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut, operates two wastewater treatment facilities and maintains the city’s sewer system.

The South Central Counties Solid Waste Agency, located in Hopewell, Pennsylvania needed a cost effective, on-site treatment system to treat 12,500 gpd of leachate and allow for future expansion.

The Remington Water Pollution Control Facility needed a liner replacement for one of its basins because the existing liner was old and damaged. The facility had made arrangements for a liner replacement, but the contractor unexpectedly backed out of the agreement to install the liner before the end of the year.
