Xylem’s Smith-Blair 225 single band repair clamp provides a fast, economical means of repairing breaks, holes, cracks or other type of damage on carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron pipe.
Xylem's Smith-Blair 225 Full Circle Repair Clamp is engineered to repair leaks due to complete breaks, splits, or holes in standard pipe sizes ranging from 2" to 14" nominal diameter. This proven repair solution is designed for carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron pipe applications. The innovative design features one open loop lug and one closed loop lug, allowing installation without removing the bolts and preventing lost hardware in the field.
The Smith-Blair 225 Full Circle Repair Clamp offers reliable performance with working pressures of 125 psi for 2"-10" nominal pipe sizes and 100 psi for 12"-14" nominal pipe sizes. The clamp meets applicable D.O.T. Title 49 Section 192 regulations for natural gas applications. The full 360° gridded face gasket provides maximum pipe support, reinforcement, and sealing pressure, while the tapered ends allow for full circumferential sealing. Long interlocking fingers allow for up to 0.40 inches of range in the clamp, and mutually supporting sliding fingers assure proper bolt alignment and permit maximum clamping without bending bolts. The Type 304 Stainless Steel bridge plate is molded and recessed into the gasket and preformed for uniform distribution of gasket pressure over the entire pipe circumference.
