Xylem Vue is helping the Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro (CHE) reduce flood damage and implement an EWS for stakeholders managing disaster situations in the basin. CHE is the water authority that manages, regulates and maintains the Ebro river basin, which covers a surface area of around 85,000 km2 and takes in 347 large rivers in northeastern Spain.

Converted Coal Power Plant Updates Intake Water Screens

Creek Culvert Bypass Helps New York State Avoid a Major Road Closure
During an inspection, it became clear that one major culvert – 140 feet long, 15 feet tall and running under heavily traveled Route 30 – had outlived its expected life. The 10-guage corrugated steel structure was deteriorated and needed to be repaired – with as little disruption to Route 30 traffic patterns as possible.

Over time, the irrigation, pressure boosting and flow control systems at Quaker Hill Country Club became problematic and the grounds crew was only able to water one green or fairway at a time. The possibility of a pump failure forced the staff to monitor the pump continuously while in operation to ensure they shut it down before it ran dry.

Diffuser Liquid Cleaning Saves Treatment Plant 50,000 kWh Per Year
In September 2021, the Veszprém wastewater treatment plant engaged Sanitaire to provide diffuser liquid cleaning service, which uses formic acid injected into the main aeration pipe to clean the diffuser membranes while they are operating.
