A Xylem Build-Own-Operate agreement will provide you with the water treatment system that your operation requires without the large up-front capital outlay. Instead, Xylem maintains ownership of the system while you pay regular monthly service fees for water produced over the period of the contract.
- Discovery: Conduct site audit, perform water chemistry analysis, listen to customer needs, ask questions, and discuss options.
- Design: Perform system design including: process flow diagram; equipment selection; piping and instrumentation diagram; scope of work; labor requirements and project costs.
- Review: Evaluate design internally between engineering and field service; discuss options and alternatives; and identify the most cost-effective solution.
- Installation: Put in place water treatment equipment and related facilities.
- Production: Purchase raw materials, manufacture system components, and assemble the water treatment equipment.
- Project management: Carry out kickoff meeting with customer and schedule deliverables.
- Order: Receive order from customer and establish project execution team.
- Commissioning/startup: Install consumables and start flow of water.
- Ongoing operations: Produce desired quantity and quality of water; make regular adjustments; replace consumables; repair equipment as needed; and monitor via site visits and Link2Site™ remote monitoring system.
- Customer business reviews: Conduct periodic formal review of system with customer; review system data; discuss safety, long-term goals, non-conformances, and preventive maintenance schedules; as well as maintain and improve business partnership with customer.
