Evoqua Pulverized Activated Carbon Filters are composed of pre-washed, finely pulverized activated carbon, encapsulated in a depth filtration media of highly purified alpha-cellulose and synthetic fibers for removing chlorine. A depth-type cartridge ensures superior dirt-holding capacity in sediment-laden waters to minimize premature exhaustion while it is being carbon treated. Design includes a thermally bonded outer, nominal 10 micron pre-filtration layer providing for depth filtration in one pass without carbon channeling or media migration.
